Discussion with Artist Ron Donoughe November 2nd 2:30pm – 4:30pm
On Saturday, July 13 WSCC Partner Organization, the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, presented a one-day Plein Air Workshop with renowned Artist Ron Donoughe at the lead.Ron has been a painter working mostly in and around Western Pennsylvania for most of his life. His main focus is capturing how the landscape feels – at different times of the day and in different seasons. He paints every single day. His work is included in many private and public collections including his 9o Neighborhoods body of work that is on permanent view at the Heinz History Center.Eighteen regional artists participated, creating works in various media, oils, watercolor and more. They all created various works out of door in the Wilkins School Community Center Neighborhood featuring homes, gardens, Frick Park and more. Several of these wonderful works will be on display in the WSCC Gallery October 5 through November 15.
There will be an Artists’ Reception in Saturday October 13 beginning at 6:00PM, free and open to the public. In addition, there will be a discussion including Mr. Donoughe and a few of the artist who participated in the workshop on Saturday, November 2 from 2:30 to 4:00PM.
