Early childhood education is constantly evolving, and the early ed community is placing greater emphasis on teacher qualifications and research-based practices than ever before. At the same time, centers still vary greatly in staff preparation, beliefs about learning, and richness of learning environments. In this workshop, we will explore some of the characteristics and markers of program quality, and you will leave feeling more confident in choosing the center that is right for your child.
Teresa Narey is an experienced early childhood educator and advocate. She is now completing her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education Administration at Champlain College. She is a member of NAEYC and the Greater Pittsburgh Montessori Society.
