Community Yoga with Carrie McDonald 11 AM Room 23
This class is a great place to start, refresh or deepen your practice. Some yoga experience is recommended but not required. For class, please bring a mat, towel, water and anything else you may use in your yoga practice.
Watercolor Demonstration with Marci Mason 11 AM Room 13
Marci is a member of many local art groups and a member of the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society. Marci teaches Tuesdays at the WSCC 3 PM – 5:30 PM, $10 to drop in. Join us for an afternoon of fun and instruction. All levels of skill invited. Class is taught with step-by-step instruction with a written tutorial and photograph. Your photograph and tutorial comes by email in advance so you can have your painting sketched in advance of class. Steel City Steppers 11 AM Room 22
This is a beginners’ dance class of Chicago Style Steppin, a ballroom type dance, which has its origins in swing dance and bop. It was started in Chicago and has spread across the country. Come back on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM every week for drop in classes to dance. More information can be found at email@example.com.
Cooking with Chef Brian 10 AM Kitchen
Brian Isles will instruct and prepare a fall soup and hummus that you can taste. This class will have an American Sign Language interpreter.
Acting and Musical Theatre with East End Performing Arts, for grades 2 – 12. 10am and 12pm Room 13
Get a taste of our popular musical theatre classes. During our demo class, you’ll meet some of our current students, play improv games, and stage a short scene. No experience necessary, just bring yourself and a willingness to be creative and try something new. East End Performing Arts offers class September thru May at the WSCC.
Introductory T’ai Chi with Patty and Stan Swartz 11:15 AM lower Level Main Room
The class will introduce T’ai Chi principles of relaxation, balance, breathing and posture. Participants will practice some simple T’ai Chi movement with an awareness of these principles. Argentine Tango 12 PM Room 23
Nehir and Gökhan will demonstrate this lovely dance form and offer a mini lesson.

Hoop Teach and Jam – Hoop Meet and Jam with Ebony Thomas 12 PM *
Have you missed the buzz about Hoop Teach and Jam? Then stop past for a Hoop Teach and Jam Demo and Free Flow session! This demonstration will be an abbreviated class, which will focus on the one Hoop Trick we all know and love, Waist Hooping! There will also be a “Hoop Jam” section where any previous student, veteran Hula Hooper, or fast learners from the Hoop Teach section can freestyle with their hoop and show off their new trick/s as some cool jams play in the background. *Hoop Teach and Jam Classes are intended for persons 16 years of age or older.
* Demo is open to participant’s age 7 and older. Any person under 7 will need to be under parent supervision AT ALL TIMES. Hula Hoops may swing out of people’s hands and fly, use caution!

Vo-Co-Truyen 9AM-12PM Lobby
Demonstration of ancient battle techniques and training methods that Viet people have developed and transmitted through generations in families, villages to defend themselves. It was also used to train emperors’ army to protect the nation. Nowadays, Vo-co-truyen is being practiced in many ways for different purposes: wellness, meditation, art performance, sport, or professional duties. Classes are Sundays at 10 AM, more details here.

Blake Mohler, resident Ukulele instructor and member of Steel City Ukulele will show you a few licks and answer all your questions. Steel City Ukuleles Jam session is every Wednesday at 7 PM September – May. Beginning Ukulele Lessons series starts Thursday October 5th.
LUNA – Learning Urban Nature Through Art Outside front lot 9 AM 11 AM
LUNA, Learning Urban Nature through Art, will offer interactive and informative activities to preview their October workshop, “Nature’s Patchwork,” at the WSCC.
